A section of staff at Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Ltd are up in arms with one of the managers, Getrude Wambuga.
According to an insider, Wambuga has no respect for the junior staff and openly boasts of having links to a powerful male director at the bank.
Diamond Trust Bank CEO Nasim Mohammed Devji is protecting Ms Wambuga despite receiving numerous complaints from members of staff.
She openly dismisses local graduates as she holds a questionable degree in Human resource management from European Business University in Ireland.
Popularly known as the Queen of Diamond Trust Bank, she is said to be outgoing, proud and utterly arrogant to her fellow staff at the bank.
How she landed the managerial position at the bank is the talk among the staff at Mombasa based headquarters but one thing is clear; It was not academic merit but other underlying and hidden facts.
