Esther Passaris and controversial senator Mike Sonko could be heading for a deal.
The two have met several County Representatives for talks on
“development matters.” Sen Sonko is realigning himself ahead of the
2017 General Election and has backed Ms Passaris to replace Nairobi
women’s representative Rachael Shebesh.
Sen Sonko and Ms Shebesh recently fell out, even though they campaigned jointly in the last election.
Ms Passaris admitted meeting the senator on several occasions to
discuss a mega lighting project in the county, among other issues. She
However she said it was still too early to discuss a joint campaign.
“I consulted the senator as a county leader. We shall have a pilot
project to light up the city’s estates but that is when finances are
available,” she said.
