Ex-Husband Continues To Spill Dirty Secrets on Milimani Magistrate Diana Wikunza While Demanding Dowry Return

Kakamega lawyer Edwin Wafula has kept up a public campaign against his former wife, Milimani Law Courts magistrate Diana Wikunza.

He continues to demand the return of dowry he says he paid in 2012. The sum is valued at about KSh950,000 in cattle and cash.

In recent posts he has warned that if she dies he will go to court to stop her burial. He wants the animals returned or an apology from her clan before any funeral can proceed.

He has called her a “brainless cow” and told another advocate to warn the Abamakhaya clan. He has also claimed he once forced a magistrate to sit in open court “like a common thief.”

The bitterness dates back years. Wikunza, then an Eldoret resident magistrate, filed for divorce citing adultery, desertion and cruelty.

Wafula denied a valid customary marriage. He said he never signed the 2012 dowry agreement that listed six cows and Sh50,000.

He disputed paternity of the child in some filings. He accused her of being a gold digger, of entertaining men for rituals while naked, of witchcraft and of slowly poisoning his food.

She sought a share of a Kakamega property she called matrimonial. She later withdrew one suit and was ordered to pay his costs.

Fresh claims have appeared online. Wafula says she had an affair with his uncle Zablon Muganda, a prison warder.

He says he sponsored her university education only for the union to collapse soon after. He claims she left with the child and has denied him access.

Wikunza has not publicly replied to the latest posts. In earlier cases she described a violent and toxic relationship.

The long public feud places a sitting judicial officer and a practising lawyer at the centre of an open personal war. It has already involved property suits, recusal applications and years of court papers.

Dowry disputes are common when customary unions end. Extreme language, burial threats and repeated online humiliation of a magistrate turn a private matter into a spectacle that damages public confidence in the bench.
