ISHMAEL OMONDI the supposed person behind AlShabaab parody twitter account Has Been Released From Police Custody atleast going by latest developments on his timeline.
On Wednesday, police IG David Kimaiyo had announced that Omondi had been arrested after he posted tweets supposedly from AlShabaab claiming responsibility for Mpeketoni Attack.
This went in contrary to the govt version that AlShabaab was not responsible. And that the Kikuyu community were targeted in the attack. Meanwhile the militia group has since released an audio clip claiming responsibility to the attack.
According to Kimaiyo, Omondi was running a pseudo website and the twitter account that posted the tweets. Though the account is filled with sarcastic tweets, Kimaiyo believed he had links with AlShabaab.
24 hours later after his alleged arrest in Kariakor Nairobi, though no photo or arrest clip of him has been availed to the media. The account is up back and running begging the question has he been arrested and was he even arrested in the 1st place? If no why would Kimaiyo fake his arrest and if yes then which court was he arraigned to in the past few hours?
