At least two explosions have been reported in Mombasa. One of the explosions happened at Mwembe Tayari and the other at luxurious Reef Hotel in Nyali, according to reports from the Kenya Disaster Operations Center.
Atleast ten people are feared dead and scores of others injured in the Mwembe Tayari explosion. In that incident, a grenade is said to have exploded inside a bus belonging to Chania Travellers that had just arrived at the Mwembe Tayari stage from Nairobi.
No casualties from the Reef Hotel explosion as an IED was discovered and went off at the gates but people had taken cover.
