Booze, Shades & A Scandal: Citizen TV Kicks Out Jeff Koinange!

Kenya’s smooth-talking silver fox, Jeff Koinange, has allegedly been shown the door at Citizen TV — and the reason is as messy as a spilled cocktail.

According to whispers in the newsroom, Jeff’s love for the bottle caught up with him.

The once-glorious face of prime-time news is said to have been stumbling into the studio rocking ridiculous orange shades, looking more Vegas party boy than serious newsman.

Word is, he was so high he couldn’t even read the teleprompter!

Fans, too, had started noticing the cracks.

From slurred words, awkward pauses, and that sudden disappearance from the screen — the gossip machine went into overdrive. “Bro looked like he was reading the news from Jupiter,” one viewer joked on X (formerly Twitter).

Sources close to the station say bosses had reached their breaking point and quietly shoved Jeff into early retirement to save face. Officially, everyone is playing dumb, but the streets are talking — and they’re saying Citizen TV wasn’t about to let its prime-time slot turn into a blooper reel.

But Jeff isn’t sulking. Nope! Word is, he’s already cooking up a comeback on YouTube, planning to morph into a flashy gadget influencer. Imagine Jeff Koinange reviewing 94-inch TVs while selling his secret stash of hair gel on the side. Talk about a downgrade from State House interviews to unboxing fridges!

For now, Kenya is left in shock. The man who once commanded living rooms across the nation has allegedly been reduced to a walking meme. From “It’s Jeff Koinange Live!” to “Jeff Offline” — oh, how the mighty have fallen.
