There’s a sickening trend emerging and going unnoticed in the streets of Nairobi. A gang is out there giving ladies hell of a time stripping them off their clothes for dressing ‘Inappropriately’
One such irritated victim is Cathryn Wanjiru who works at a local bank in town, “i just can’t believe such things are happening i never thought i would be subjected to such an embarrassment, i was walking along Accra Road hurrying to work before a group of 5 men approached me asking msichana mbona umevaa hivi mbona unatuonyesha nyama,unataka kutuua,nyinyi mumetuzoea na hii tabia mtakoma kutembea hapa uchi and before i knew it they were wrestling me down and striped me naked before disappearing into the corridors laughing ” she narrated her encounter to Nairobi Exposed.
She had to be rescued by a well wisher who helped her with a shuka to cover up herself and had to buy new clothes immediately, lucky for her she had tightly clinched unto her handbag saving it from the gang.
A round check up done by Nairobi Exposed reveals that this gang has been terrorizing ladies and operating along Tom Mboya Street between Odeon Cinema and Accra Road,striping women naked in day light because of dressing indecently according to the idlers. More worrying is despite the presence of plain clothes police in the area nothing much has been going on and these idlers continue to harass especially working class women who mostly put on mini skirts.
