Covid19 is giving the world a headache, Ruth jo known treatment, scientists are burning the night oil in the efforts to come up with a treatment as the virus continues to ravage the globe.
In America, we’ve heard of bizarre suggestions more so from President Trump who at one point suggested the use of anti malarial drug hydrochloriquine for the treatment of coronavirus and the latest of swallowing disinfectants. Crazily enough, some people heeded and took disinfectants and which ended badly.
In Madagascar, their President has endorsed an organic drink made from local herbs and approved by the research institute in the country as a safe bet fit the treatment of the coronavirus.
While many countries continue to juggle the options for treatment, Kenya appears to have endorsed hydrochloroquine given the bulk order of the drug from India as the country anticipates a surge in numbers for the coronavirus in the coming weeks.
Kihu Irimu, a Kenyatta University graduate now claims he has discovered the treatment for coronavirus. A herb he discovered in 2002 that has been used to treat coronavirus like symptoms.
He writes, “The plant below is called wanjiru wa rurii. It is being hailed as effective in fighting covid19 by the president of Madagascar. In my village it is boiled and you drink the water to cure malaria, flu, chest congestion and headache. Since I discovered it in 2002, I have not taken any drugs for those problems. It also lowers temperature in minutes and kills fever. The president is right 100 percent. But what he is saying must disappoint Bill Gates and other false philanthropists, Afro pessimists and the criminal imperialist European govts which had hoped to reap big from Africa covid19 misery. I think there was a time last year when we were hit by an ailment with similar symptoms as a village but no one was absent from work, all healed. The hyper- vigillance of keeping watch over neighbors parties and the like should be directed to the search for solutions. In my Kiima Kimwe village, every household is growing a few of these plants and using them regularly. It will keep the doctor away.”
