Mosiria Fires Fresh Salvo at Suzanne Silantoi, Alleges Drinking Habit and Secret Romance With Sakaja

Former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has ignited a fresh political storm after launching a blistering attack on Health Executive Committee Member Suzanne Silantoi, accusing her of excessive drinking, alleged absenteeism and claiming she is romantically involved with Governor Johnson Sakaja.

The explosive allegations, made during an appearance on the Iko Nini podcast, have dragged Nairobi’s health leadership into an increasingly bitter war of words at City Hall, raising fresh questions about accountability, professional conduct and the management of the county’s health department.

Mosiria claimed that Silantoi’s alleged drinking habits had interfered with her official responsibilities, including meetings with investors and stakeholders in the health sector.

He sensationally alleged that the youthful county executive drinks from Monday to Sunday, portraying her as a leader whose conduct raises concerns about her commitment to public service.

Mosiria further claimed that Silantoi had missed important engagements involving investors and health-sector stakeholders, allegations that, if substantiated, could raise questions about coordination and leadership within Nairobi’s healthcare system.

Secret affair claim throws Sakaja into the controversy

In an even more explosive part of his remarks, Mosiria alleged that Silantoi was involved in a romantic relationship with Sakaja, dragging the governor into the controversy surrounding the county’s health leadership.

The allegation adds a deeply personal dimension to an already tense political dispute involving the former chief officer and the county administration.

No independent evidence has been presented to substantiate the alleged relationship, and the claim should not be treated as an established fact.

The allegations also raise questions about whether the latest confrontation is rooted in genuine concerns about public administration or has been intensified by the increasingly acrimonious political fallout between Mosiria and his former boss.

Neither the existence of the alleged relationship nor the claims about Silantoi’s drinking habits can be established from the accusations alone.

Mosiria’s bitter fallout with Sakaja

The latest broadside comes against the backdrop of a deteriorating relationship between Mosiria and Sakaja, which has increasingly spilled into the public domain as the former county official positions himself for a possible run for the Nairobi governorship in the 2027 General Election.

Mosiria, who previously served as Chief Officer for Health Facilities before moving to the Environment and Citizen Engagement dockets, has repeatedly spoken about disagreements with the governor over his responsibilities and his treatment within the county administration.

In recent interviews, he has alleged that his working relationship with Sakaja deteriorated after disputes over the management of public funds, the allocation of responsibilities and service delivery.

Sakaja’s administration subsequently removed Mosiria from his Citizen Engagement and Customer Service role in a reshuffle announced on October 21, 2026, further deepening the political drama surrounding the former chief officer.

Mosiria has also publicly expressed his ambition to challenge Sakaja for the county’s top seat, setting the stage for a potentially bruising contest.

Nairobi health leadership under scrutiny

Beyond the personal accusations, Mosiria’s remarks have placed renewed attention on the leadership of Nairobi’s health department, which oversees services relied upon by residents across the capital.

Claims that a senior official missed important meetings with investors and stakeholders would ordinarily warrant scrutiny through attendance records, official correspondence and responses from the parties involved.

The controversy now leaves Nairobi residents with questions about the management of their county’s health services, while the public awaits verifiable evidence and responses from the officials named.

For Mosiria, the latest confrontation marks another dramatic chapter in his increasingly public rupture with the Sakaja administration. For Silantoi and the governor, the allegations present a reputational challenge that calls for a clear response rather than speculation.
