“Do Not Interfere in Our Affairs,” Suluhu Warns Kenyan Activists

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan broke her silence on Monday regarding the arrest and detention of a number of several Kenyan lawyers and activists who were travelling to Tanzania on Sunday.

In her speech, President Suluhu made it clear that authorities had been instructed to prevent anyone seeking to disrupt peace in her country from entering Tanzania.

Kama kwao wameshadhibitiwa wasije kutuharibia huku,” she stated.

Suluhu emphasized that under her leadership, no foreign national will be allowed to enter Tanzania and interfere in local affairs.

“Hatutatoa nafasi kwa kiumbe yoyote kuja kutuvurugia hapa. Awe yupo ndani, awe anatoka nje, hatutatoa hiyo nafasi,” she affirmed.

The Tanzanian leader insists that it is her constitutional responsibility to ensure law and order prevails in her country, and she will do everything in her power to fulfil that mandate.

Ninalofanya ni kulinda nchi yangu na ndiyo wajibu niliopewa,” she said.
