Flex Air Charters Director Nicholas Ngatia Njoroge Charged with Sh129 Million Fraud

A controversial Kenyan director of Flex Air Charters Limited, Nicholas Ngatia Njoroge, has been charged in court with Sh 129 million fraud.

Njoroge is said to have defrauded the said amount from the company he leads. According to the court papers, the accused person allegedly defrauded USD 18,170 (approx. Sh 2,353,054) from Flex Air Charters Limited, which got into his possession through his employment.

The court heard that Njoroge committed the offence on diverse dates between 22nd August 2022 and 3rd February 2023 at Guarantee Trust Bank (Kenya) Limited.

Additionally, he also stole some other amounts between November 2020 and March 2023, including Sh 27 million, Sh 7 million, Sh 32 million, Sh 22 million, Sh 30 million, Sh 2 million, and another Sh 4 million.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Ben-Mark Ekhubi and pleaded for lenient bond terms

The magistrate granted him a bond of Sh 10 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh 5 million.

He directed that the matter be mentioned on 29th April 2025.
