Kenyan TikTok Influencer ‘Frank Murugi’ Extradited To Belgium To Face Drug Trafficking Charges

A Belgian who has been living in Kenya was on Friday, January 11 deported from the country.

Frank De Tank, popular by his TikTok account Frank Murugi was nabbed for alleged drug trafficking.

He was accused of unlawfully obtaining Ksh435 million over the selling of cocaine in Belgium through the Port of Antwerp in 2015.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court alongside 29 other suspects.

Local media in Belgium reported that the suspect imported two tons of cocaine from South America.

A dock man in Belgium who is also a suspect is said to have recruited more dock workers who assisted in smuggling cocaine into the country.

In 2017, De Tank became a social media celebrity over his overnight acquired richness.

Frank with his Kenyan girlfriend.

He owned several expensive supercars which include; a Porsche, Lamborghini, and Venice.

This prompted police officers both in Kenya and Belgium to start questioning the source of his wealth.

It has also emerged that he had issues with a rival gang that demanded Ksh51 million from him.

He moved to Kenya when the rivalry was rife and settled down with a Kenyan girlfriend.

The duo has been dating for the last five years.

Back in Belgium he also had a wife and two children.

On TikTok, De Tank is famous for dancing on the beach to cover his lover’s entire body with Euro notes of an unknown value.

He could also splash a lot of cash and hold big parties in the Coastal region where he was based with his girlfriend.

De Tank also worked as a bodybuilder.
