While all the attention shifted to the Westgate mall attack horror,the Kenyatta University had a horrific encounter of it’s own.A student was foundbeheaded and head smashed with brain spills all over.According to the students who gathered at the scene around KM along railways line which many students resides,the badly mutilated body couldn’t be easily identified going by the gross nature it was discovered in.Its not clear as to who the perpetrators of the inhuman action are. Earphones and empty wallet were amongst the items recovered from him.Speculations pointed at a possible execution from robbers who have been terrorising,harassing and in many cases butchering K.U students especially those residing at the KM facility.
As Nairobi Exposed discovers the robbery menace and students’ lives in danger along and around this place has become rampant.Attempts to have the VC to act promptly to the the growing insecurity hasn’t been forthcoming despite pressure from the students.The situation is bad such that students are forced to make to their KM residence by 7 pm any time up from that is considered death zone times.Several rape cases on female students and robberies have been reported and death cases as well.KM is a residential facility fully equipped with market and all. It offers accommodation to over 5000 students who fail to secure hostels which are highly competitive in the college’s school.
