TV personality Trevor Ombija who hasn’t had much luck with love recently opened up about his on and off dating life.
Speaking in an interview, Trevor recalls how his 10 years relationship ended revealing that he was badly heartbroken and his efforts to reconcile it were in vain.
He also revealed that he is single and not looking and is channelling all his energy to improving his well being.
“I was badly heartbroken. I am single and not looking because I need to fix myself first. Everybody deserves the best version of the other person. Don’t go into a relationship when you are broken. Right now I will admit it
I am from a relationship that lasted 10 years. It is one of those relationships that were over, then they are back again. I actually took dowry to her home in December 2015, then akaniacha. She said that she needs to find herself,” he recounted.
However, the news anchor said he refused to be defined by his failed relationship and is currently working to improve himself in the gym.
“Those weights are heavy. There is no day the gym will say I don’t love you anymore. You can count on that and not human beings,” he said.
Although he said he still remains friends with his ex-girlfriend, he added he chose not to go after the dowry since that would be petty.
He further asked lovers to accept fate and embrace breakups and try to fix themselves.
“Nilijaribu ku-force issues for a while! You know when you are dumped and then you try to insist that you can work it out. Ukiachwa achika. I have accepted and am fixing myself,” he noted.
