Politician-Cum-Pastor James Wanjohi Njoroge Opts To Settle Car Theft Case Out Of Court

Politician James Wanjohi Njoroge who was charged with stealing a motor vehicle valued at Sh3 million has made an application at a Nairobi court seeking to settle the case out of court.

He now wants the court to halt his trial as he seeks to settle the matter with the complainant.

When the matter came for mention before magistrate Gilbert Shikwe, the court prosecution requested for more time saying Wanjohi had informed him that they had already started negotiations and settlement with the complainant.

The court heard they want to try and settle the matter out of court instead of continuing with the trial.

He is charged together with Kevin Brian Amolo.

Jointly with others not before the court, they stole a motor vehicle made Mercedes Benz, white, valued at Sh3.2 million the property of Juvenia Lydia Mapilele Cohen.

They are alleged to have committed the offence on November 6, 2020, in Nairobi.

The magistrate set November 11 as the day when the court will confirm the progress or taking of the hearing dates.

Wanjohi who also owns a church in Roysambu vied for a parliamentary seat on the UDA ticket but lost during nominations.

A Twitter search shows a frustrated user who claims to be a victim of Pastor Wanjohi and his gang linking them to an alleged gold scam syndicate.
