Police officer stationed in Iten Elgeyo Marakwet is nursing serious injuries arising from the beating he received from matatu crew members in Iten. The officer is said to have spotted the vehicle parked by the roadside while loading tomatoes before heading and snatching out the ignition keys. This action went wrong with the matatu crew who mobilised the public and rained on the uniformed police office with blows and kicks,breaking leg and losing teeth in the ordeal. The same matatu crew stopped the public from beating him further saying he had learnt his lesson.
