Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang’ula enjoyed close ties.
This was revealed during a Citizen TV interview on Friday evening where Kalonzo spoke on a wide range of issues.
The Wiper leader opened up on his relationship with the Bungoma Senator revealing that they were very close.
Kalonzo said he misses Wetangula so much and that Kenyans should not be taken aback if they see him in his camp.
“I miss Wetang’ula. I have struggled and suffered with Wetangula. Dont be surprised if he comes to where I’m,” Kalonzo said.
“I pray every day and night for Wetangula to leave Kenya Kwanza and join Azimio la Umoja.”
Kalonzo and Wetang’ula could truly be bosom buddies.
Soon after the Wetang’ula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi moved to deputy president William Ruto’s side, Kalonzo was candid in begging the Bungoma senator to rethink his decision.
He publicly said that Mudavadi can go but urged Wetang’ula to come back saying they have been together for long ostensibly to mean it was not worthy to break their friendship because of the DP.
On the other end, Wetang’ula has also publicly come to the defence of Kalonzo when he is facing criticism.
After he made public his 2017 coalition agreement with Raila, Kalonzo received numerous criticism from a section of leaders, something Wetang’ula did not like.
The Ford Kenya leader publicly took on Makau Mutua and a host of leaders head on for disparaging the Wiper boss even as he demanded that he be respected.
In the same Friday’s interview, Kalonzo revealed that Wetang’ula was used to try and lure him to Kenya Kwanza, an indicator that the Ruto camp was privy to their friendship.
He, however, said he did not get the chance to meet and talk over the matter with Wetang’ula.
