A Lawyer in Mombasa committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping from the 10th floor of a government tower. The authorities are yet to reveal the cause of his death.
Sammy Anyazwa, 69, jumped through the window and was confirmed dead on arrival at the Pandya Hospital.
He had gone to Anyazwa and Company Advocates to conduct some transactions at the lands office located on the 8th Floor of the building.
The lawyer is said to have been upset after going through a file at the Ministry of Lands.
“It is still unclear what the file contained but we are investigating, an officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation said.
According to Mombasa OCPD Eliud Arumbi, the deceased did not manifest any signs of depression.
His death remains a mystery because he did not leave behind a suicide note.His body was taken to Pandya Hospital mortuary.
