The BROKE K24 TV In Trouble Again Citizen TV Sues Them For A BIG Amount

When K24 had a facelift, they brought in new faces into their screens and this meant poaching from other stations, citizen TV suffered the greatest with almost the entire newsroom swept. Faced with better pay, tens of the top news presenters moved to K24 leaving Citizen TV
Orphaned.  It’s now emerging they left the company with huge debts.
Royal media services’ lawyer Njihia in a letter written to Peter Opondo who is the head of TV at K24 and also a previous employee of citizen TV,he is considering an out of court settlement with the employees now tied to K24 but previously citizen on paying their debts owed to them. Belinda Obura is being sued for Ksh.260,000, Tom Mboya ksh.200,000,Franklin Wambugu ksh.400,000 but that’s not the end of the list, others being sued includes: Janet Chapia ksh.130,000,Double T ksh.102,000,Duncan Khaemba ksh.96,000, Chris Theiru, ksh.86,000
K24 recently laid off a large group of it’s employees to duck the glaring bankruptcy shot that was coming at them. Such a law suit simply adds insult to the already horrible injury. At the end of the day as they say,its business.
