A 22 year old Chinese man is making headlines for all the odd reasons.
According to mirror online magazine Xialoan had an injury back in 2012 but didn’t seek immediate medical help. Unknown to home the injury inflicted damage into his nose.
The cartilages were completely damaged that the doctors handling him had to develop an artificial nose to aid him as the original one remained damaged and couldn’t sustain him.
The nose was created by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian’s forehead.
This was cut into the shape of a nose and was supported by cartilage taken from his ribs.
