Shocker: Former MP FERDINAND WAITITU Slapped With A 5M Fine On Petition Against KIDERO

Baba Yao’s problems must have just started, last year he petitioned the election of his rival Evans Kidero and he lost. The high court ordered him to pay 5m to Kidero as the fine. However,Kidero’s lawyers have dropped yet another shocker on the former Embakasi MP an amount that would literally milk his banks accounts dry.
They’ve filled a bill that will force Waititu to pay ten times the amount he thought of. In what they describe as the bill of cost, the lawyers want Waititu to refund Kidero the total of sh.40m that he spent to pay them as their legal fee in defending the petition. Kidero’s lawyers argues that their client incurred huge costs in the case.
Another additional sh.10m is expected to be paid by Waititu to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the
Returning Officer of the National Tallying Centre, Isaac Hassan and the Nairobi County Returning Officer both of who were respondents in the petition.
According to advocates act,its possible for one to bare the costs for the other should they lose the petition. So far Waititu is staring at a sh.50m fine with sh.40m all going to Nairobi governor Evans Kidero.
