RAILA ODINGA PROVES CRITICS WRONG THAT HE’S STILL THE KING OF LUO POLITICS AS MOSES KAJWANG TRIUMPHS #HOMABAYDECIDES
After series of speculations and media illusions that had envisioned a tough race in the hotly contested Homabay senatorial position that was left vacant on the death of Otieno Kajwang the day finally came and everything went the opposite way as anticipated.
What was thought to be a two horse race turned into a horse-donkey race. Being an ODM stronghold,the party was expected to carry the day however the rebels from the party spearheaded by PhilipOkundi was seen as a strong contender who would make ODM break a sweat but this couldn’t live to pass as everything ended up being nothing but a wet dream.
Moses Kajwang the ODM’s candidate had won the elections as early as 6PM when the gates for voting had opened. At the end of business,Moses had thrashed,smashed,squashed and minced closest rival Okundi with over 100000 votes a margin that only a miracle would bridge.
The win sent a clear message to ODM rebels who’d thought playing tough would play out,the otherwise. Kajwangs win further goes to stamp Raila Amollo authority and influence in Luo politics. He’s still the king and matchmaker in Nyanza politics.
If to be replicated into other regions,it will take dozens of years to dislodge Raila from his currently held throne,he’s still the man to beat he’s still the man to watch.
The win is not Moses’ per se but Raila’s in essence.
