Witchcraft in Kenya football isn’t news anymore as it’s openly practised by the big clubs,even Mourinho Chelsea’s coach had earlier last year secretly sneaked into the country to get his own dosage of the black voodoo. On Sunday the local football scene was ablaze as the biggest derby match between arch rivals Gor Mahia and Afc Leopards met on a highly contested match that ended on a draw of 2:2 scores.
Earlier this morning Nairobi Exposed has learnt that a group of witchcraft doctors from the western region on invitation by afc fans were stranded at the machakos country bus terminus as they lacked the fare to transport them back home. Philemon Wekesa who is their leader narrated his story to the western bound bus’ conductors while pleading with them to offer them a subsided fare to take them home. He revealed to the swelling crowds that they had been contacted to come and apiece the gods to ensure they afc wins against gor mahia,they arrived on Friday and were housed at a lodge along river road,the night before in collaboration with undisclosed club officials,they were sneaked in to the stadium and performed the rituals that they confess included going around the field naked and planting hen organs around the pitch.
The whole operation were negotiated and meant to cost sh.50,000 the deal was too good to let go,the twist however was they were to be paid after the match and on the condition its a win against gor. They were only paid sh.3000 as an advance from a man whom they only identify as Peter,a club official. After the match which ended on a draw the script flipped and the faces they were familiar with disappeared and their endless calls went unanswered.
The few amount they had couldn’t facilitate their fare back home nor pay for the accommodation in their river road hotel forcing them to spend the night in the colds at the bus terminus hoping to catch the early bus home the next day which is today. A quick contribution was conducted to raise their fare and at 9am they left aboard Matunda,a popular bus. The team officials have been condemned for committing inhuman agenda on the victims. The angry witch doctors didn’t mince their words saying the team will regret whatever they did to them and will make sure they don’t win any trophy until they settle the matter.
