The president on Madaraka day celebrations displayed a change of guard that included a different C In C from the traditional Land Rover(UK ) to now a land cruiser (Japan ) a move that has been read by many as a clear signal of facing east.
The bulletproofed vehicle didn’t come alone, other armored machines were seen in the president’s entourage whether this was meant to send a message of security state in Kenya or that a mighty show of how the president is protected nobody knows.
This comes at a time when the country has witnessed a mass Exodus of tourists from Kenya and the government is now attempting to bring them back .
