The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened the online portal for students to revise their course choices for the 2025/2026 university and college placement cycle.
The revision window, which opened on May 18, 2025, will run until May 27, 2025, giving students who missed placement in the initial round or those yet to apply a final opportunity to secure slots in available programmes.
According to KUCCPS, the revision process is open to all 2024 KCSE candidates who did not secure a course during the first application phase, those who wish to change courses and Form Four leavers from previous years who meet the minimum entry requirements.
How to Revise Your Placement:
- Access the KUCCPS Student Portal:
Visit the KUCCPS website at www.kuccps.ac.ke and click on the “Student’s Portal” tab. - Login:
Enter your KCSE index number, the year you sat the exam, and your password (usually your birth certificate number or ID number). - Review Available Programmes:
Once logged in, browse the available programmes. KUCCPS has published a list of courses with available slots that students can apply to. Look for the option to revise or apply for courses depending with what you want.
- Enter New Choices:
Choose your preferred courses and institutions in the correct order of preference, ensuring you meet the minimum requirements for each. - Pay the Application Fee:
Submit a revision fee of Sh1,000 through mobile money or bank as guided on the portal. - Submit and Confirm:
Complete the application process by confirming and submitting your new course choices. Ensure you print or save a copy of your application for reference.
KUCCPS urged students to consult widely and choose programmes aligned with their career goals and performance.
They also emphasized that placement will be based on merit, availability of space, and applicants’ choices.
This second revision phase is the final opportunity for students to align their career paths with their academic qualifications before final placement decisions are made.
