• According to research, the basic recipe for a hit song is a good song packaged with a good beat, a melodious/sing-along chorus and the topic.
•Simplicity is key. A song that is simple to understand can easily stick into one’s mind. An artist should avoid a too wordy chorus and make it short and simple to sing-along to whether it’s Hip Hop, RNB, Reggae, Zouk or any other genre.
•A good melody will stick into people’s minds. If you finish listening to a song and you find yourself humming to the song’s melody, then know that it has potential to hit.
•The topic is also important. Whatever It’s about, it all depends on how an artist delivers the message in a simple and unique way.
•The producer has a challenge to make a good beat easy to hit. And the mix down should be professionally done.
