Pili Pili talking exclusively to Nairobi Exposed revealed his reasons for being away from the music scene for months now. From the facts we gather from the singer himself,he made a pact and got into a deal with an international talent management agency,they offered him a lucrative deal that was undoubtedly irresistible im talking millions. The deal would see the agency manage Pili Pili’s career in general. His being out of the limelight therefore was out of legal issues as he elaborates to NE,”its complicated.(Legal issues) i got myself tied into a deal where it never favored me i walked out i had to wait tiil last week ,on (7th) of this month for the contract to expire with a foreign agency who were to manage my career,my name PILIPILI , was tied to that, no way i could use it freely when it came to business ,i had to do deals za chini ya maji(eg perfomances)” When you sell a brand to someone in this case “pili pili” is the brand,the owner(agency) will run and manage it there way. Since he opted to call out of the deal,the brand name was tied up to the agency and if he were to make any business deal then he risked being sued,so the best he did was to sit easy and wait for the contract’s term to expire and as he discloses the term came into its death on 7th of this month eventually releasing him and setting him free once again.
So what’s next for Pili Pili and any regrets for his decision? He makes the major announcement exclusively on NE “i’m very much into the industry about to make a comeback pretty soon.been working behind the scenes despite the mishap. the deal was to good i made a mistake i didn’t think twice but i learned and moved on.” He is already working on a video to mark his comeback,he reveals to us it will be ready in two Weeks time. Apart from music he is also working on a documentary that will tell his story behind limelight and also on his comeback. He is also venturing into technology business,setting up a media house that will specialise in apps development,adverts creation,website creation amongst many other UT related ventures.
