An AP Officer In Marsabit Turns A Teacher While On Duty

Everyone in Kenya wants to get a few or just maximum education that they can afford, but, things in the Northern part of Kenya seem to be very different.

Since attacks on non-local teachers, most of the TSC approved teachers posted in these regions prefer staying at their homes and do farming and some look for private schools to teach n that might have low pay, but at least, some will say, they will be guaranteed of their safety.

This is one of such stories and one Jairus Mulumia, a Kenyan Police officer was deployed at the Kenyan-Ethiopian boarder. He realized pupils at a nearby primary school (Furole primary) were just idling in class for several days with no one to teach them

This was after several teachers failed to report to schools in the region due to insecurity as a result of banditry attacks. Mulumia who is a trained teacher took it upon self to take up a class Five Mathematics class to fill in the gap during his time Off.

With the speculation and fear factor from the public, all this was least expected. Polisi ni Rafiki, they are also human. This deserves recognition! And what is the government doing?
