On Saturday, February 8, 2025, an unidentified individual left a coffin at the gates of activist lawyer Morara Kebaso.
Morara took to his X account to share a video of the incident, urging the person responsible to reclaim it.
Despite the apparent intimidation, he remained defiant, stating that he does not fear death threats.
“Whoever dropped this coffin at my gate on Saturday midnight, I just want to let you know that I am not afraid of death threats. Please contact Morara Home Furniture for a better coffin with good finishing,” he posted.

The video showed a black coffin with a red ribbon and a photo of Morara and his wife affixed to the top.
In a separate post, Morara revealed that another, smaller white coffin had been dropped at his workshop in Utawala.
The casket contained various items, including a black chicken, slippers, a doll, a toy car, a small ball, and plastic bottles filled with drinks. It was also inscribed with the words “Mercy David” and “RIP,” along with a photo of Morara and his wife.
Expressing his faith and resilience, Morara dismissed the threats and even sarcastically invited his opponents to visit his business for high-quality caskets.

“Whoever dropped this coffin at my Utawala workshop on Saturday night, do you know who my father is? Do you know that my father in heaven created the brain and hands that make coffins? I can make you a better one. Kuja mchana nikutengenezee jeneza safi,” he said.
He further urged those targeting him to leave his family out of politics.
