Leaked WhatsApp Messages Reveal Mockery of Raila’s Loss by Itungati Group Allied to Ex-DP Gachagua

Leaked WhatsApp messages from the ‘Itungati’ group, which is allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, have surfaced, showing members ridiculing the loss of Raila Odinga in the recent political contest.

The messages, shared among prominent Kenyan politicians, include mocking sentiments and strategic discussions regarding the political landscape post-election.

The conversation began with Karungo Kiambu Senator expressing a light-hearted jab at Raila, stating, “Rao, you fought your fight and gave it your best. But know this—you are not the problem. Sasa kuja nyumbani…” indicating a sense of finality to Raila’s political endeavors with a humorous tone.

Nimewalima responded with a call to action, “We should not let the opportunity disappear. Let us laugh at them in a clever way,” which was met with approval from others, evidenced by likes on the message.

Jane Kihara MP from Naivasha added, “This is good,” endorsing the sentiment of mockery within the group.

Wamuchomba Kiambu chimed in with a religious twist, “God is on our side. Sasa tuvute wajaluo, we leave Kasongo peke yake…” suggesting a strategic move to isolate Raila’s supporters.

Murei Wakili Gatanga MP injected a note of caution, “But let us be careful with Luos…they are fighting Uhuru. We should defend Uhuru,” indicating internal alliances and the need to protect certain political figures despite the general mockery.

Karungo Kiambu Senator then shifted focus, “Lakini Uhuru pia akwende huko. Baba too can not be trusted. Sisi tujifunze wakiibuy, it is our base first. Mengiine baadaye,” highlighting distrust towards Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, and prioritizing their political base.

H.E. Gachagua, the former Deputy President, mentioned a strategic move, “I have spoken to Orengo and he has agreed to organize a trip to Siaya, tuongee na Wajaluo. We accuse Ruto of embarrassing Baba. Siasa ya Roho,” indicating a plan to engage with Raila’s supporters in Siaya, possibly as a political maneuver.

Jane Kihara MP Naivasha agreed, “Correct. Well said People’s President,” showing support for the strategy proposed by Gachagua.

Finally, Methu Nyandarua Senator added, “Nitaongea na Sifuna pia. To ensure we get a controlled crowd. We cannot afford to be heckled,” emphasizing the need for controlled political gatherings to avoid public backlash.
