President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday September 9 told off a section of leaders who previously attacked his mother, telling them in no uncertain terms, to insult their mothers instead.
President Kenyatta made a stopover in Ruaka on Wednesday while on a visit to Kiambu.null
He was inspecting a road project that will connect Nairobi, Kiambu and Murang’a counties.
During the visit, President Kenyatta seized the perfect opportunity to respond to a recent round of politicking in which his family was verbally shredded by DP Ruto’s allies.
“Wale watu washenzi wanaenda huko wakitukana mama yangu, waambieni wakatukane mama zao wachaane na mama yangu (the silly people insulting my mother, tell them to insult their mothers instead,” President Uhuru retorted.
Further, the president explained that although he is still young, he has no qualms about leaving State House when his term in office lapses.
His rebuttal was targeted at Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno who previously attacked him and his family verbally in rants in form of videos that have since ripped through social media.
Scores of leaders had called out the two leaders on Monday September 7, demanding that they apologize for disrespecting the president, the former First Lady and by extension all Kenyan women.
On Monday, the Emurua Dikirr MP was arrested from his home by a contingent of police officers on allegations of incitement to violence.
The legislator who is now facing Hate Speech charges was released on Thursday on a Ksh.2M bond, a surety of the same amount or an alternative cash bail of Ksh.1M
He has also been expelled from the KANU party and will be required to seek fresh mandate from the electorate.
His case will come up for mentioning on Monday, October 12.
