DP Ruto Splashes Cash To Kisii Youths Who Attended His Rally

Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday, September 10, brought Kisii town to a standstill as he toured the region for a fundraiser.

The second in command donated Ksh2 million to Kisii Boda Boda Sacco members, urging the recipients of the funds to use the money to expand their businesses.

It remains unclear the exact number of boda boda operators registered under the Sacco.

In his address at Nyanchwa Grounds at 2:30pm, the DP said no Kenyan should be worried about a possible outbreak of violence in Kenya during and after the 2022 general election.

“Kenyans won’t fight one another over disputed poll results again. Gone are the days when people would be provoked into fighting each other over election outcome. Kenyans are not stupid anymore; they know how adversely violence affects their lives. We have been there before, and can’t afford to go that route again,” he said.

Ruto, who was the chief guest at the function, was accompanied by Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, MPs Silvanus Osoro (South Mugirango) and John Kiarie (Dagoretti South), among others.

The DP, thereafter, left for Nyamarambe Stadium for a women and youth fundraiser.
