Two Police Officers Implicated In Kisumu Attempted Robbery Arrested

Two police officers have been arrested in Kisumu, after a suspect implicated them in a recent robbery with violence incident.

His testimonial was backed by CCTV footage retrieved from the scene of crime, leading to their arrest.

The officers are said to have attempted to rob a petrol station manager in Buoye area. It is located along the Kisumu-Nairobi road.

Already, detectives say they have recovered two guns believed to have been used during the crime.

The guns were found in the officer’s residences.

Police also recovered the clothes they were wearing, as seen in the CCTV footage retrieved from the petrol station.

“Four suspects were involved in the crime,” Kisumu County Commander Samuel Anampiu told Shahidi News. “They were armed with two AK-47 rifles.”

During the incident, they did not manage to get any money from the businessman.
