John Juma, the son of slain businessman Jacob Juma has missed a form one place after his mother failed to raise school fees for the 14-year-old boy.
According to a source close to the family, Juma who scored 381 marks in his KCPE was to join Lenana School two months ago but his mother was unable to raise the school fees.
Jacob Juma was killed by unknown assailants on 6th May 2016, while driving home in his Mercedes Benz KAL 007W along Ngong Road. According to footage retrieved from the Automated Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and video clips from Intelligent Surveillance (IVS) cameras, the businessman dropped a lady at the CBD before meeting his death in what appeared to be an execution.
Prior to his death, Juma in a series of tweets on his social media had claimed that Deputy President William Ruto was obsessed with killing him after he linked him to the Sh 120 billion Euro Bond scandal that dogged Uhuru’s first term.
During the requiem mass of his father, John Juma tearfully eulogised his dad.
“It doesn’t matter whether he is dead, maybe it might hurt us a lot and he might not be able to talk to us…he tried to show us peace but he got killed. He is the best Dad that I could ever have. A man is still a man, even when he is dead,” he said during the requiem service at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
At the time of his death, Jacob Juma had arranged several high-profile meetings with foreign envoys and Opposition leader Raila Odinga over the missing Euro Bond money that he alleged was stolen by prominent politicians lead by William Ruto and ex-Finance Minister Henry Rotich.
City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi was also adversely mentioned in connection with the killings after it emerged that several files carted away from Juma’s office by detectives contained several contractual agreements involving his firm.
