Ruto’s Man Aydin Picked By ATPU On Landing From Uganda

Turkish investor Harun Aydin has been arrested at the airport when he was entering Kenya from Uganda.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has confirmed the arrest and said he was with him at the airport he was arrested.

According to Sudi, they were ferried together in the police vehicle from the airport to Kilimani Police Station but police decided to lock Aydin in the cell and left him outside.

Sudi says he wanted to be arrested too if the grounds of Aydin’s detention is over terrorist links.

“Turkish Investor Harun Aydin arrested at the Airport. I boarded the same police vehicle but upon reaching Kilimani police station, he was locked in the cell leaving me outside. I had made it clear that if indeed Aydin is a terrorist, then I should be the first one to be arrested,” Sudi said.

According to Sudi, detectives are holding him for interrogation.

Sudi has confirmed that Aydin was later taken to anti-terror Nairobi offices on Ngong road where he is locked.

He says they, together with his lawyers, have been denied access.

“Together with the lawyers at the Anti-Terror Nairobi Offices on Ngong Road where Harun Aydin is locked, we have been denied access. They also refuse to arrest me,” he said.

Aydin was part of Deputy President William Ruto entourage to Uganda on Monday.

He was to travel together with Sudi, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Kinango Benjamin Tayari.

The three MPs, however, made their way back on Tuesday but Aydin did not travel back.
