The cat and mouse game between Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and security officers came to a screeching halt after the legislator presented himself to Kapseret Police Headquarters in Uasin Gishu County.
Donned in a red jacket, the firebrand politician accompanied by several legislators, including Soy MP Caleb Kositany, Kimilili MP Didimus Baraza, and Uasin Gishu Women Rep Gladys Boss Shollei, arrived at the sub-county offices early in the morning.
Sudi, who is accused of utterances bordering on hate speech, was taken to Eldoret airport after a closed-door meeting with detectives.
Keiyo South MP Daniel Rono said that the officers were still discussing the possible destination for the legislator with indications he would be taken to Nakuru regional DCI offices or Nairobi.
On Friday, a contingent of police officers raided the home of the legislator and lay siege for over eight hours without success.
Shollei is said to be the lawyer representing the legislator whose utterances have caused outrage countrywide with demonstrations being witnessed in several towns.
The Woman Rep said that Sudi will be taken to Nairobi to record statements with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission.
