Kenyan woman in court for stealing ksh3.8M from her mzungu boyfriend

A Kenyan woman has conned an American man Ksh3.8 million and items valued at more than ksh800,000, court has been told.

According to court narrations, the two first met on a dating site before the man moved to visit the woman at her house.

Court was told that Kevin Michael Queen was lured by the lady identified as Judy Onchiri to her home in Lang’ata where she allegedly organized for theft that allegedly took place in broad daylight.

Michael told Kibera Resident Magistrate William Tule that the incident happened on December 3, 2020.

“The three stole ksh3.8 million, a Macbook Pro worth ksh440,000, an Ipad valued at ksh230,879 and a perfume cologne he was carrying priced at ksh113,843,” Michael told the Magistrate.

Judy’s co-accused were identified as Wilson Momanyi who is her brother and Harun Morang’a who is her cousin.

In his further narration, the American man said that he had visited Judy, who at the time was staying with Momanyi (the brother).

However, a few moments later, from the blues, Judy allegedly started quarrelling with Michael for no apparent reason and kicked him out of the house.

Michael reportedly tried to plead with the lady who he had allegedly seen for the first time to try to solve the matter amicably but Judy stood her ground and maintained that he should leave.

This prompted the American national to seek help from a police officer who tried to ask the lady to give back what Michael had left in the house but this did not bear any fruits.

It is then that Morang’a arrived and tried to intervene but the trio failed to agree and Michael allegedly never got his items.

This prompted Michael to ask the management of the building to review the CCTV cameras and it emerged that Judy had opened the door to three men who took his valuables.

Police officers launched a search for the items and fortunately found them within Lang’ata but they did not find the money.

The trio denied the charges and was released on a ksh300,000 bond each.
