Media personality Felix Odiwuor, popularly known has Jalang’o, has landed in trouble following his controversial interview with the married twins.
According to Kenyans.co.ke, Ezekiel Mutua who is the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO, has asked the DCI to probe Jalang’o.
He further noted that they had reported the matter to the DCI claiming that the show was cultivating immorality, especially among the youth.
“We just got this (the controversial interview) a few hours ago and we have instructed our lawyers to take action. The complaint has also been registered with the DCI.
“Both the host and the panelists will be held responsible for any unpalatable content aired,” stated Mutua.
The self-proclaimed moral police had earlier warned that he would protect the African moral fabric at all costs claiming that some media personalities were perpetuating behaviours he termed as anti-social.
“Our so called celebrities are looking for bizzare sensational stories to trend at the expense of our culture and morality. In the process, they are normalizing, glorifying and glamorizing anti-social behaviors that run counter to our culture.
“This is wrong and should not be allowed. KFCB will pursue all possible legal means to stop this nonsense. User- Generated Content must adhere to the law,” he stated.
In an interview on Monday, January 11, Jalang’o hosted a couple, Brian and Lex Chiweru, who have identical facial features.
Brian disclosed to Jalang’o that the two have been close since they were children and realised that they were biologically unrelated look-alikes, commonly referred to as doppelgängers.
They narrated that they grew up in the same neighbourhood and fell out with their parents after they began dating.
“The doppelgängers phenomenon is something that is scientifically known but it has never been proven. They say it is a bad thing,” stated Brian.
The two came under heavy criticism after a video of them went viral angering Kenyans who termed their union an abomination.
