Dennis Itumbi And Other PSCU Directors Kicked Out Of Statehouse

Dennis Itumbi and four others are no longer State House employees, the Public Service Commission has said.

On Wednesday, Itumbi’s position as the Digital Communications Director at the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) was declared redundant alongside his colleagues.

The four are James Kinyua, Erick Ng’eno, David Nzioka and John Ndolo.

Itumbi has since deleted the title of PSCU Director from his Twitter page: it now reads: “Pig farmer”

In November last year, Itumbi suffered an embarrassing moment as he was kicked out of the main dais at the Bomas of Kenya during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) taskforce report.

A month prior to the incident, Itumbi and his co-accused Samwel Gateri Wanjiru had been charged afresh over allegations of publishing a false document.

According to the charge sheet, the two published a letter with intent to cause anxiety to the general public.

They pleaded not guilty after the court accepted that the two matters be consolidated.

The two accused have been linked to an alleged assassination letter involving Deputy President William Ruto.

It later emerged that the letter had been drafted at a cyber cafe in Lang’ata area, Nairobi.

The letter claimed that there had been an alleged meeting at Hotel La Mada on Thika Road with the DP as the main agenda.

Three Cabinet Secretaries were later summoned to the DCI headquarters on June 24, 2019 on allegations of plotting to ‘kill the DP’.

The CSs rubbished the allegations terming them as “wild” and “unsubstantiated.”
