Not A Socks, Listen Ladies This What Kenyan Men Want For Valentines

Make a wish, men, for Valentine’s Day is coming.  This time around, gift shop attendants, flower vendors and receptionists will be bombarded by women asking to buy but the finest watches, wallets, shoes, cards, flowers and tie sets for their men… Or so we all hope!

For the 14th has long been misconstrued as a day when men go all-out to gift women, with the latter barely ever returning the favour.

The pressure men have to bear has even birthed “The Men’s Conference”, a fictional forum for men that straddles Valentine’s. This conference is for men who want to “abdicate duty” on the 14th, often due to financial constraints.

A few women turn up with gifts for the special occasion alright, but in the name of socks and handkerchiefs. Which they would probably not like if presented to them as gifts.

Men want shoes, playstations, belts, undies, books, or candle-lit dinners from their ladies. Men also deserve to be shown love through gifts, good ladies.

It would be fulfilling to have this Valentine’s Day take a different direction from many past ones. Gift that man!

As you budget, ladies, please remember that Valentine’s Day is around the corner. And we will be glad to receive a gift from you and to be reminded that we don’t always have to show love, we can also be made to feel loved.
