The Star Newspaper Will Now Sell At Sh10 Down From Sh30

The Star Newspaper has announced a discount on its electronic paper from Sh30 per day to Sh10 a day.

This means that the readers can access the e-paper at Sh300 per month down from Sh900.

Kenyans have reduced their movement following a request by the government for social distancing to tame the spread of the virus.

This has limited access to the print version of newspapers from vendors for many Kenyans.

Radio Africa Group Digital Editor Oliver Mathenge said the reduction was to allow Kenyans to read stories online even as Kenya grapples with the coronavirus outbreak.

So far the virus has killed more than 9,000 globally and infected thousands. Kenya has confirmed seven cases by Wednesday with no fatality.
