In Eldoret’s leafy Elgon View Estate, where every gate seems to guard a secret and every driveway whispers of old money, one palatial residence has become the town’s latest subject of hushed conversation.
It belongs to Swarup Mishra, a former Kesses MP and founder of Mediheal Hospital, a man whose taste for grandeur has never been in question. But now, his multimillion-shilling empire is staring down the barrel of the auctioneer’s hammer.
According to auction notices seen by The Nairobian, at least five prime properties linked to Dr Mishra and Mediheal are scheduled for public auction on December 10 in Eldoret.

The notice reads in part, “Under instructions received from our principals, the chargees, acting upon the statutory power of sale conferred upon them, we shall sell the under-mentioned properties by public auction starting at 10:00am on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.”
The sale is set to take place at Rehema House, opposite Japara Building on Ronald Ngala Street, an almost austere contrast to the opulence of the property on the list.
Mishra’s home, a home fit for the Maharaja, is hidden behind a towering, decorated gate and guarded by stern-faced security officers.

The residence looks like something lifted straight from a luxury architectural magazine. A meticulously cabro-paved driveway curves toward a grand structure of soaring pillars, huge glass panes, and an imposing geometric symmetry.
The scene only gets grander as you approach the entrance. Large potted plants: aloes, acai palms, and tall bamboo line the staircase, adding vibrancy to the calm cream exterior walls.
Above the doorway hangs an elaborate chandelier whose crystals catch the afternoon sun, scattering flecks of light across the facade. A sweeping foyer ushers visitors into a living area bathed in natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The ceilings stretch dramatically upward, where yet another chandelier glimmers overhead. The polished floors, reflecting the golden afternoon rays, complement rich mahogany furniture arranged in a stately formation at the heart of the room. African and Asian artwork adorns the walls, giving the mansion a refined, global character.
Beyond the main house, the compound hosts guest houses, a gym, a bar, gazebos, and even a water fountain, all protected by a towering reinforced concrete fence topped with electric wiring.
This property, registered under Mishra and his wife, Pallavi, is only one among several now earmarked for auction.
Another property listed is Eldoret Municipality/Block 8/774, registered under Mediheal Hospital & Fertility Centre Ltd. It comprises a commercial building currently used as a hospital facility in Kapsoya Gardens, directly opposite Little Lambs School.
Nearby, BLOCK 8/863, also under Mediheal, houses a sprawling medical complex made up of a five-storey building and a double-storey structure linked by a waiting hall that doubles as a pharmacy and laboratory. It fronts Nandi Road near Naiberi Police Station.

Three other parcels, L.R 7914/123, 7914/124, and 7914/125, all under Mediheal, are situated in Kipkorgot Market along Kaptagat Road.
The expansive plots border Moi University’s Springfield Estate and Milai School. Though currently vacant, the land is designated for residential and small-scale agricultural use.
Another property on the list is Cheptiret/Kipchamo Block 2 (Mogobich)/96, registered under Mishra and his wife. Located in Chepsiria Village, the 3.91-hectare parcel hosts a servant’s quarter, greenhouse, orchard, and pit latrine and is enclosed by barbed wire reinforced with live cypress and blue gum trees.
The final group of properties, six adjoining plots under Mishra’s name sit in the Madona area. The plots are ringed by GCI sheet fencing.

This isn’t the first time Mishra’s properties have come close to the auction block.
In December 2023, the former MP secured temporary relief after the High Court halted the sale of one of his prime Eldoret properties over a Sh61 million loan arrears dispute.
Mishra, his wife Pallavi, and Mediheal Diagnostics and Fertility Centre had sued Legacy Auctioneer Services and Commercial International Bank (CIB) Kenya Limited.
