How Ruth Matete’s Husband Died From The Gas Leak

Kenyan gospel artiste Ruth Matete is in mourning following the death of her Nigerian husban Pastor John Apewajoye aka Beloved John.

Reports say that John passed on last night in hospital after sustaining burn injuries.

“So, last week on Monday, the Matetes bought some cooking gas, but there was some excess gas in the cylinder. So, her hubby took it at the balcony to try release the excess gas. It happened that some gas got trapped inside his clothes and when he had fixed it back and tried putting on the cooker, he just caught fire. He ran to the sitting room shouting ‘babe help me’ and that’s when Ruth called the neighbours who helped to put off the fire. They took him to the hospital where he’s been doing so well until yesterday. We lost him in the night,” said a friend in a viral voice recording.

The Tusker Project Fame 5 music competition show winner has been hit hard by her husband’s demise, especially after reports indicated that she’s in the first trimester of her pregnancy.
