Simbisa Brands On The Spot Over Labor Laws Violations

Following up on previous reports regarding labor violations at Pizza Inn (Simbisa Brands Kenya) it’s evident that the issue extends beyond just one establishment.

Employees continue to endure underpayment and excessive working hours without overtime compensation, with some forced to work up to 12 hours or more.

Troubling accusations have surfaced regarding mistreatment by high-ranking female managers, leading to an oppressive work environment where even minor mistakes result in public humiliation and dismissal.

Complaints to the HR department, predominantly staffed by women often yield no resolution.

The introduction of an incentive bonus scheme has failed to meet expectations, with promised rewards falling far short of employees contributions.

Even when targets are exceeded by significant margins, the bonus amounts to a mere fraction of what was promises – which is further demoralizing the workforce.

The effectiveness of labor unions in advocating for employee rights has also been called into question, as reports suggest they are compromised by bribery and ineffectiveness – leaving workers with little support or recourse.

Yet another victim speaking out against injustices plaguing Simbisa Brands has exposed appalling conditions met by employees at Pizza Inn fast food joints in Nairobi.

Understaffing is rampant with workers burdened by heavy workloads and paltry compensation.

The source describes mistreatment by high-ranking female managers particularly Regional Managers (BOMs) as dehumanizing.

Employees are subjected to disciplinary actions for the tiniest of infractions.

Constant transfers imposed on staff only serve to compound their struggles as meager salaries are swiftly depleted by commuting costs and leaving little for sustenance.

Frequent salary discrepancies and irregularities further compounds the uncertainty and instability in their already unstable livelihoods.

There is clearly an urgent need for intervention to address these systemic issues haunting Simbisa Brands.
