Struggling real estate developer Mahiga Homes has been in the news for the last few weeks for all the wrong reasons. As the Directors were busy globetrotting in the USA, their sham was being exposed back home. The company which peddles faslehood about being the number 1 deliverer of houses has come undone as their leading Shadow Investor Gladys Chania was this week arraigned in Court for fraudulently obtaining millions of shillings from unsuspecting youths under the con of getting them visas and green cards in the u.s.a. It is claimed she started this scheme over 8 years ago and it is with these ill gotten funds that the Mahiga Homes Company was founded.
Another COn Game?
The Directors behind Mahiga Homes Patrick Muchoki Joseph Ruhiu and Gladys Chania, this Blog has learnt were at once Directors at the now defunct Mashariki Developers alongside the owner of Belasi Developments the infamous Martin Mwangi and Andrew Kamau. Once the company went belly up they all went scurrying and formed separate companies, a story for another day… Mahiga has gone all out to prove themselves as the fastest developing company, but hurry hurry has no blessing. their sheer disregard for the national building code, and their underhanded deals have gotten them approvals without any inspection. In some cases entire houses have been built in 2 days, avoiding totally the regulations and hoodwinking their clients by this tremendous speed. However, this has come at great cost to humble Kenyans who are now trapped with near collapsing houses, some as new as 4 months old.
Speaking to us in secrecy the owner of one of the doomed homes said “we were amazed at the pace. They prided in the fact they can build in six months. But look at us now. We are deep in regret. The house has developed cracks, the ceiling has come undone and the toilets don’t flush properly leaving a foul smell if used. We have had to abandon the property as an independent plumber told us that the toilets were not properly channeled. How sorry we are”.
This is the fate that many unsuspecting kenyans have had to endure at the hands of these fradusters. Muchoki and Ruhiu who are both serial womanizers can be found partying on Thika road where they each keep many mipango ya kandos who they control by buying toyota vitz and mazda verisas. Both of them drive top of the range cars with Muchoki owning a fleet of vehicles including a one of its kind range rover autobiography. Ruhiu, who as recently as four years ago owned a Tuk Tuk in Thika, is now what you may call a “serial sponsor”. His lavish lifestyle has entrapped many a young girl with his big cars including a Range Rover HSE SVR 5.0 is frequently seen on TRM drive and Kasarani in the wee hours of the morning. This is despite him recently holding a massive wedding at the new hotel in Gatundu road. Reports claim that the lavish wedding cost over 15million shillings which was paid in cash. His brother also has a magnificent rags to riches story. In just 1 year he has gone from being a boda boda rider in Juja to driving a Range Rover.
But How?
How they have managed to amass such great wealth, is now clear. they are reaping where they did not sow. Their substandard housing schemes mean they make money hand over fist at the expense of unsuspecting Kenyans considering they have only built 51 houses.
Buyer Beware
We wonder how the authorities have not yet raised a flag on this pyramid scheme. The directors continue to live like kings. Projects that they launched recently are at a standstill as money is being squandered left right and centre instead of being built.keep it here as we let out details of how all this company is associated with the famed andrew kamau, and the nderitu brothers of banda homes and nyumbani concepts.

We hope that K.R.A can intervene as employees remittances like P.A.Y.E have been under declared whereas annual returns point to almost zero profits.
