Exactly one year ago, reports emerged from blogs and mainstream media that Kesses MP Swarup Mishra was using his Mediheal Group of Hospitals to smuggle organs from his patients; selling them in the black market.
The hospital had been accused of smuggling the body parts to Kenya from other centres in Nigeria, Malawi, and India.
The MP vehemently denied those allegations stating that he was being fought by middlemen who are involved in transporting sick Kenyans to India for treatment.

However, the allegations of organ trafficking stuck on him like bad smell on a skunk. He has not been able to shake it off, not with half-baked explanations.
It will be here for quite some time; for it was more pronounced when they hired a known organ trafficker by the name Prem Kumar Gokul as its Vice President.
That’s why Monday morning, a group of paid influencers are running a hashtag #MediHealCares on Twitter and posting positive messages about Mediheal Hospitals.
As another article revealed, Swarup is a corrupt Indian as they come who has been at the forefront of sleeze and corruption even misappropriation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Kenya has been mentioned in Human trafficking circles; it is also a conduit for organised crimes in illegal drugs and small arms and weapons smuggling.
It is against this backdrop that people like Swarup can’t easily shake the tag of organ trafficking.
According to research, Kidneys are the most trafficked organ.
Organ trafficking, a lucrative global illicit trade, is often a lesser discussed form of human trafficking among anti-human trafficking stakeholders due to its intricate and often stealth nature. Trafficking sex and/or labor are the more commonly thought of forms of human trafficking among public policy leaders and general awareness campaigns. However, organ trafficking holds a critical place with transnational organized crime groups due to high demand and relatively low rates of law enforcement. – Online

Unqualified
Swarup Mishra is described as a conman, a quack doctor who hides behind color and money gotten from illicit trade.
According to a source, Swarup Mishra isn’t a qualified gynaecologist, as he failed his exams at the University of Scotland and dropped out.
The source claims that he is riding on his genius wife Dr Pallavi Mishra who is the premiere owner of the Mediheal Group of Hospitals.
“Dr Pallavi has his brains in the gynae sector. She is the one who started mediheal since she is the daughter of a very wealthy family”, the source continues.
“Hahaha. Mishra is a conman I know him much more that guy didn’t finish gynaecology in Scotland hehehe go and find out if he’s ever been a real doctor who can perform gynaecological surgery. The guy rides in his wife’s hardwork and skill. Who has ever seen him as a doctor apart from drinking and standing on top of the table in his wife’s clinic hapo town in early 2002?. Why did the government want to deport him in 2000 because of being a fake doc? He is a “deals” man, not a doc prove me wrong”, the source concludes.
