IEBC Staff Demonstrate Over Delayed Payments

A section of the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission clerks have protested delayed payments.

The clerks who were dispatched by the IEBC to oversee the electoral process in various areas in North Imenti Constituency lamented despite delivering a successful process, they were yet to get their dues.

Mostly composed of the youth, they camped at the IEBC in futility as the County IEBC manager William Ngungu was away.

“We have spent time and money as we chase our emoluments and we are appealing for them to be expedited,`’ said a clerk who quested anonymity, fearing reprisal.

IEBC clerks were hired on a KSh1,000 daily pay.
