Detectives Arrest Former Kisumu East Aspirant Oselu Nyalik Obondo for swindling Kshs1.2 Million From A Property Manager

Former Kisumu East constituency aspirant Kevin Odhiambo Obondo, a suspect of Obtaining Money by False Pretences, was earlier today arraigned at Milimani Law Courts, following his arrest by Nairobi-based detectives over a Shs 1.2 million case.

The court heard how the culprit, who brands self as honorable Nyalik Oselu, swindled a cool 1.2M from an unsuspecting property manager.

Tumbling into the suspect’s meticulously planned hoax after being introduced to him by a mutual friend, the female victim believed that Odhiambo was a genuine client interested in buying 22 apartments under her management.

With evil plans at the back of his mind, Odhiambo had convinced the victim to facilitate the required legal and processing fees, which he would later refund after his financiers released funds for the property purchase.

Finding the deal gratifying, the victim dispatched the entire amount in installments of hundreds of thousands to Odhiambo’s Mpesa accounts, after which he vanished, blocking all communications with the manager.

The suspect was trailed and hooked from his hideout after days of steady investigations by DCI detectives.
