Chief Land Registrar At Ardhi House Accused Of Rape And Molesting Interns

Female staff at the Ministry of Lands, Nairobi headquarters Ardhi House are on a go-slow following rape accusations against a senior staff.

They accuse David Nyandoro, who is the acting Chief land registrar at the ministry of raping and molesting an intern.

Complaints by the interns at the registry have fallen on deaf ears.

This forced the ministry to cancel night shifts at the registry after Interns and female staff complained that no action was being taken by the Ministry of Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney, PS and other senior officers despite the complaints.

The night shift, which was started to help clear backlog of files and where most molestation cases have happened is now in jeopardy

The ministry employees have taken to social media platforms to complain about the senior officer who has been molesting them.null

Mr Nyandoro is also accused of committing the same offence while stationed in Machakos. He was then transferred to Nairobi and was accused of rape again.

Sources say top ministry officials are aware of the case and have been shielding him from prosecution.

The human resources department has also kept mum despite several complaints.

Insiders at the ministry say before he came to Nairobi, he was also bundled out of the Kajiado County after a litany of land fraud cases.

“The man has a penchant appetite for lady interns. To him, every female Intern joining the ministry must be sexually assaulted,” said a source at the Ministry.
