Comedian Eric Omondi has appeared to reignite his beef with Kenya Film Classification Board (KCFB) boss Ezekiel Mutua, by offering to gift singer Sh200,000 he was to earn from a canceled partnership with the organization.
Mutua explained the move to cancel the partnership was arrived at after the singer posted videos that contravene their ‘clean content and partnership’ policy.
“So When I heard that Sponsorship worth Ksh 200,000 had been cancelled just a few hours before his event, as the PRESIDENT of Entertainment, I had to step in and reinstate the Sponsorship personally. I honestly don’t think did anything wrong. As creatives, sometimes we are called upon to do just that…be creative. Bahati did whatever he did just to push his album, and that’s how he puts food on his table. The guy is a father of FOUR bwana…But just like @mulamwah he has learnt his lesson. When he called me to ask for number ya yule CEO, si munajua yule jamaa wa vipindire I told him Wachana na huyo jamaa hasaidiangi watu but hakuskia. Next Time Tafuta PRESIDENT bwana Wachana na Ma CEO, ama namna Gani my friend?,” Omondi wrote.
Mutua and Omondi fell out earlier this year after the film boss had the comedian arrested over the content he produced for his wife material show that was aired on social media.
Omondi and his cast only earned his freedom after apologizing and stopping the production of the content in a mediation meeting that also involved fellow media personalities Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill and Feliw Odiwuor, who is commonly referred to as Jalang’o.
